I know for a fact I heard multiple times from multiple analysts that MTSU didn't deserve to get in over Virginia.

many of those same experts didn't think Memphis deserved more than a 9 seed after going undefeated in CUSA, and some didn't think wer deserved an at large had we not won the tournament. Year after year these dolts lobby for mediocre "power six" schools to get in over deserving "mid-majors" and each year the mid-majors out perform the middling power 6 schools in the tournament.

I saw several analysts commenting that Kentucky should have gotten MTSU’s bid. One (don’t know his name) was very upset almost to the point of anger. Former UK player Rex Chatman was vocal as well and criticizes the selection committee.

One UK supporter said the rules should be changed to award the reigning champ an automatic bid if they win 20 games the following year.
