RE: Matt Norlander at CBS
It doesn't matter what ANYONE says. Everyone in this field is going to be tough just like St. Louis was last year. We just need to focus on our play. We are some what circumspect in the post. That is my biggest worry. Hopefully we will figure out a way to beat whomever we play Thursday. Nothing that proves naysayers wrong like just winning. Go Tigers!

Unfortunately if we lose, and until we beat a top 25 team next season, they'll be justified in that narrative.
Justified in saying we haven't beat a "ranked" team? yes
But we are not "frauds" and that is a bunch of BS.
30-4 teams that finish 16-0 in conference and win their conf tourney's are not "frauds".
I don't think we're a fraud, I'm saying when the media says things like "they're not as good as they seem," they'll be right due to lack of top 25 wins and tournament wins. Going undefeated in ANY conference is hard, and they don't give us enough credit for that. But their narrative will always be "all they did was beat up on C-USA schools" until we prove otherwise (luckily we're not in C-USA next year). It is what it is. And until we do one of those two things, I agree with them to an extent. We are what we are. But I think we can do big things starting Thursday.

Well sports fans, we could win one, two, or even three tourney games and STILL not have a Top 20 win.

Claw, the Baylor Bears reached Great Eights in two of the previous three seasons without getting a top 25 win in the first three games. It does happen, as you suggest, though I can't foresee that unfolding for us, given Michigan State's probably riding a bus to its games. Love Valpo, but Sparti, it will be.

I think we are about to embark on a magical ride and I don't care who says what, nor who we play. I love the "chip on the shoulder" mentality.

Norlander will be coming on the Gary Parrish program with Jeff Caulkins on FM 92.9 here in a few minutes (after 5pm).
It will be a hackfest!

Says they are good at defense, Memphis is not.
He picks Mississippi over Wisconsin because he wants Henderson in the Dance as long as possible.

His reason for picking MTSU and Mississippi are a little silly. MTSU is "awesome" and Mississippi needs to win so that Henderson stays in the Dance.

They would rather he not joke about DUI's, but other than that, they think Henderson is great.
