It will seem like a good idea right up until the opening tip.

The voice of reason.

On another note - USM got robbed. If we are anywhere as good as our potential allows - The Eagles should have gotten in.

I'll be pulling for MT against St. Mary's.

That being said, Joe Jackson v. Matthew Dellavedova would be an interesting matchup.

Why? We'd be playing a six seed regardless, why not be excited to play the team that beating would mean the most to the fanbase? UCLA? We beat them last year. Butler? No thanks. Arizona? Meh...

Why is this hard to understand?

Why is it crazy to think we can play them tough, do you believe you guys are that much better than us? Regardless, the outcome has no bearing...

Not sure how being excited to play you guys is crazy. I'd be excited if we were a 16 and you were a 1. Being excited doesn't mean I'm predicting a W, just means that beating you guys would mean more than beating any other individual team in the field.

Appreciate the understanding, St Mary's will be tough, I think the last time they lost to a team not named Gonzaga was December.

God, I wish USM was in this thing. They'd have put on a show in the play-in game.

How are they pitting 2 teams in the play-in game at the 11 line, when there are at larges in the 12 line?

The selection committee is funny about how they are doing these "1st round" games. They take the multiple teams and decide that this team and this team are all worthy of an 11 seed and then match them up. Next year it might be two 15 seeds. I personally think that if 2 schos are good enough to play and make an 11 seed or even a 15 then they should be in over any lower seed and on down. The 4 play in games or 1st round games should all be the lowest 8 schools and thy should all play for the 16 seed in my opinion

The thing about these matchups, is that on paper, Memphis should slap around MTSU pretty good if they play each other. But you know that things never really go as planned on the actual court, especially in the NCAA tourney. You know if MTSU gets a chance against Big Brother Memphis, they will play inspired, and if Memphis lulls around thinking that the name on their chest will win the game, they will fall. Whoever you guys play, you better hope your team doesn't have the attitude of simply walking in the gym and being handed the victory....

Memphis isn't thrilled by their seeding, and they probably aren't very happy about getting drug into two OTs in the conference tournament.

I would expect them to be moderately pissed off.

I'me very happy with the match up...the "experts" had us a 8 playing Cincy or Mississippi... I'll take a 6 playing MTSU or st Mary's
