Game is close, I'd like to see Memphis play these two teams every year. Along with the likes of Xavier and Butler. Hell the A-10 is where we should have tried to migrate to when conference changes were made. If only to play higher quality basketball games. I know everyone is all about making changes that are better for football, but I'd like to see us here amongst these teams for bball.

They are better than last year. Even though they returned most of the guys from last season. There's no doubting Majerus' coaching ability but wasn't there some time that he missed over the past few season's with health issues? I can't be certain but I thought he had missed some time on the sidelines. Which could have hindered his own coaching.

Now that this team has played together for a while they are improved and I think a team that I wouldn't want to see Memphis play this year, I'm biased but I think if we would have been a little more focused last season we could have beat them more often than not.

That's the beauty of a one and done tournament, the underdogs can send the favorites home in one game. Just imagine if the Heat lost the first game of the playoffs and that was it the season is over.....

That's why I don't enjoy the new MLB format that has a one game playoff for wildcards. They should atleast get a 3 game series if everyone else does.

I think you missed my point maybe. Jim Crews took over for Majerus before the year started and died in December. What Crews has done in the aftermath of that, makes him a big COY contender.

I knew what you were saying. I also knew that Crews took over becaus eof Majerus dying. I just felt that having a more stable coach has been a factor in SLU's success. Along with the fact that, like most teams, being around each other for some time they get better.

I think you missed my point. It wasn't like he was forced into a bad situation where he had a depleted bench, NCAA sanctions etc..

You could even argue that these players are playing ispired basketball for Majerus. RIP

Put that in your blog and smoke it. Anyone can have an opinion. I doubt he wins coach of the year unless he makes a deep run thru march, but that's my opinion.
