Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress

Memphis' Chris Crawford in March so far: 6 games, 22 ppg, 57% for 3, 58% for 2, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 turnovers in 30 minutes. Not bad.

There has been some local chatter in the media of late about Crawford getting a shot in the Association when he is done at Memphis. It will be interesting if that goes national more and more after today and with a nice run in the Dance.

RE: Chris Crawford's crazy/insane/ridiculous C-USA tourney stats
Crawford scored 21% of his points for the entire season in the last three games. His scoring average before the C-USA tournament was 9.2ppg. After the tourney he is averaging 10.7ppg.

He also hit 26% of his threes for the entire season in the C-USA tourney.

The Tigers now have four players averaging in double figures in scoring:

J. Jackson: 13.8
A. Thomas: 11.9
C. Crawford: 10.7
G. Johnson: 10.5

and then we have another three guys averaging between 7 and 8ppg:

T. Black: 8.0
S. Goodwin: 7.8
D.J. Stephens: 7.6

We were in a bar in Tulsa and started talking to a guy who turned out to be a scout for the Utah Jazz. When asked about what Tigers the pros liked, he said that they were very high on Chris Crawford. So, yes, Chris may have a decision to make after the season. It would be hard to turn down the money.

Scout also said:

>DJ has athletic talent, but his basic skills need lots of work.
> Adonis should stay in school

There it is, FWIW.

Those are crazy shooting percentages. And to think I was ready to give up on CC early on.

None of that is good enough for all-conference, though.

I hope CUSA lost its azz on the tourney in Tulsa.

Out of that freshman class he was recruited in, he'll have the best pro career.
