A10 even if they got all 6 would be 6/16 which is 37.5%.

ACC should go with a Thur - Monday turnaround instead of a Sat - Mon turnaround.

The announcers sure talked it up about how the real BE is dead and I certainly agree with them. New C7 league is no more than a glorified A-10, if that.

Let's think about this...

The C7 would probably have liked the old BE to stay with schools like Syracuse, Pitt, Louisville, and WVA. But that wasn't an option for C7; that option was taken off the table.

So, now, C7 has two options. (1) Stay in a bloated geographical mess of the proposed Nbe and play basketball games with stuggling basketball schools Tulane, SMU, Houston, UCF, and ECU and the others. (2) Or add strong basketball programs, mosthly Catholic schools, like Creighton, St. Louis, Xavier, and (non-Catholic) Butler. And still schedule their old BE buddies Syracuse, Pitt, etc in nonconference games.

There can be no doubt the C7/BE is mountain tops above Nbe/A12, both in the level of competition, national visibility, and conference tv monies earned.

My opinion is that C7/BE will capture the imagination and visbility of the old Big East.

It is a difficult situation for Cincy, have the double dose of not only losing the good BE basketball but having that handed over to cross town rival Xavier.

Without football, they may show decent ratings in the NE during BB season, but without football, I feel their BB tournament success will drop dramatically, with the Big 5 conferences taking the OBE place.

This C-7(Big East) is much better than the A10, imo. They have bigger names, Georgetown, Villanova, Marquette and St Johns, and larger attendance, more recent national championships and bigger tv contract, and more national respect. It is much bigger and better than the A10. I personally would watch a BE game over an A10 game.

Congrats on getting four teams invited into the NCAA Tournament ACC!

In before the ACC fanatics claim Pitt, Syracuse and Louisville as ACC schools before they actually are.

Wonderful showing.

Oh that's right. The best basketball conference in America has to count on programs that aren't even in the conference yet in order to have respectable invite numbers.

The conference built by pulling programs from other leagues thinks it is impervious to such itself. YOU HAVE NO CULTURE ANYMORE ACC!

How ACC fans can have their heads so far in the sand considering realignment when their conference is the biggest culprit in the big picture...who knows, these ACC fanatics are special people.

Aren't you the one that pretends that you don't care what happens to the ACC?

I don't give a damn about the ACC. What's your point?

Are you another one pretending you know a damn thing about me?

Now we have to see where ESPN puts the A12 (or whatever the f/b member conference is called). There will still be good basketball in the A12 with UConn, Cincinnati, Temple and Memphis.

And possibly VCU & UMass

Alot will depend on who if anyone the A12/Old BE adds for hoops. Since you have Navy in as football only and possibly Army in as football only; the A12 would be wise to invite VCU & UMass(hoops only); you add those to UConn, Cincy, Temple & Memphis and you have a very solid hoops conference; not the equal of the Big 10 or the new ACC but competitive with the C7/BE.
