There is no evidence whatsoever that Southern Miss can win this game today. It would be a monumental upset.

Oddly enough Kenpom has us winning 70-69. I haven't seen a line on the game yet but it usually is pretty close to that.

I think that they have learned to play without Michael Craig. They just don't seem to match up well with us (on their end). Our height tends to give them fits.

I suppose anything can happen. However, I'll stand by my comments. We beat them twice, by 13 and 16. What they have done against other teams is irrelevant. There is nothing that says they can win today.

I thought Southern Miss actually played pretty good in the previous 2 games. We just played better. Scoring 89 points twice on them does seem to indicate that they can't seem to stop us.

Memphis going for it's 26 straight CUSA win. It would be nice to close that out in style. Also going for the 9th straight CUSA post-season win.

Adonis Thomas has never lost to a CUSA team.

Let's hope Chris Crawford has another 3pt barrage in him.

Our last game with USM, it seemed obvious to me that part of their game plan was to have Davis and their other forwards drive straight to the basket. And, it was successful for them on many occasions.

Dunno if it is because they saw a weakness in our guards cutting off dribble penetration, and/or if they sensed our bigs could not defend the basket without fouling or biting on the first pump fake.

Regardless, that is my personal big concern for today.

For entertainment purposes, I like that both teams have been high scoring of late

I hope we can play our game in the "bright lights" of a CBS audience, e.g., we play team ball and can rebound and hit shots. This is our chance to really improve our rather low "eye test" performances with a national audience.

I don't know. It's 10:30 CST which puts it at 8:30 on the left coast. With all of the other games today I don't know how many will be watching this one.

What an early day game thread. Time for me to hit the coffee and get cranked up. At least no fiddling around with vipbox and its kin today.

Go Tigers! The way Davis and Crawford are playing right now this could be a show. I hope we don't go in over confident because of the last 2 games.
