I'd like to finally with confidence welcome Creighton, Butler and Xavier fans to our Big East conference! We've just added 3 schools that are committed to basketball first, with great traditions and great fanbases. Next year's Big East lineup is going to be amazing. Awesome news for all of us tonight, and remember to celebrate this great news responsibly on St Patrick's Day. And for schools 11 and 12, we also hope to see you soon.

Xavier, Butler, and Creighton are fine additions (even though I trolled the Butler guy earlier for a spell).

I think and feel those three school will be great additions to the Big East Conference. It's more than likely that St. Louis will be the 11th school added. However, I am hoping we hit a homerun with the 12th school. If the plan is to wait it out and see what happens during the next realignment then I am all for it. In the end , we have to make sure we have a great product on the floor that will ensure us on keeping the Garden long term and most importantly, Keeping The Big East Conference on pace with the BCS basketball conferences.

Jays fan here. Have been watching posts for the last month or so. Great news to be part of the Big East. All Bluejay fans are excited. May be in New York next St Patrick's Day- not too bad. Also, hoping St Louis gets in as well. I have had a couple of daughters go there and love the city. Good luck to all in the tournament.

Can't be that long of a wait.

1. St. Louis needs to be brought in quick or they will be left behind financially.

2. The TV deal might not allow us to add anyone to late and get the bump we can get by adding 12 now.

So glad Pope Francis, S.J. was able to cut thru the red tape and get this done! Press conference tomorrow at 11 am.!

Great news. The Big East will be a very good conference going forward. I wish all the best to the league.
