Frankly, this outspoken intolerance of other peoples opinions is getting tiresome. I am normally tolerant enough to stand aside and let people makes fools of themselves if they choose, but this getting way out of hand. Trying to denigrate CMU's coaches and players rather than just congratulate them on a hard won championship is just poor sportsmanship and petty enough in itself but then to try to unilaterally decide what other UT fans can say or think and then fault them for having the temerity to actual voice an opinion that you don't approve of is getting way over the top.
There is also a hint of "holier-than-thou " attitude in all this---- "we are the true supportive fans" so how dare you "evil folks" question any aspect of the program, etc. In fact after one these more virulent outbursts of moral outrage and righteous indignation, one poster ever claimed to "feel better" afterwards. I would suggest that anyone using this board for physiological therapy please get some professional help because a sport forum is not the proper place to try to address problems by trying to exert thought control over others.
I know that I am one of the posters you are calling out in this rant. I don't even know where to begin with your post, so I'm not going to waste my time.
Also, go read the OU board (OhioBobcatAttack.com, I think) and read some of their posts. They're acting like little kids. They are complaining about their coach, saying he sucks, after finishing 24-9 and winning a piece of the MAC Championship. They are saying their senior-led team didn't live up to the hype, etc., etc. They sound exactly like some of the fans here.
And what's also funny, is this is not the first post that has the " you need to respect what others posters are saying, even if you don't like it" tone. Maybe some of you should listen to your own advice.
And some of you seem like you can NEVER be happy. We finished 27-3! We won the MAC Regular Season Championship! We were ranked top 25! BE HAPPY! I know we're not satisfied, but be happy! You can be happy, but not be satisfied.
So to finish off, this season sucked. We didn't win the MAC Tourny so our season was a failure (who cares about regular season accomplishments). I hope we decline the WNIT invite because it is obvious that the team doesn't care about it since they've 'been there, done that'. Our recruiting class has sucked for the past 5 years, so we will be lucky to win a game next year. *

I agree with you. The criticism of Bradford is misplaced, I believe. During the tournament game, there was absolutely nothing wrong with her sportsmanship. When she was on the bench, she was cheering for her teammates and supporting them. When she was on the court, she was working hard. Some have pointed out that her coach sometimes pulls her out of close games late, which presumably shows that the coach doesn't trust her. I think it's actually because Bradford suffers chronically from leg cramps. The failure to come out for the national anthem obviously is a decision by the coaching staff (and a poor decision, I agree), not the players.

I agree. I stayed for the championship game and really there was no antics I could pick out whatsoever. I think they save a little of it for the Toledo game, but Toledo is about the only threat/rivalry for them in the MAC. Bradford's freshman year, yeah, she would overreact to every single foul call/no call and was very immature. Didn't really see that this year. After what I saw in the championship game, she should have been player of the year.
