1. A long ways off from being a top of the league team.
2. Slow of foot
3. Passive
4. Poor skill level collectively
5. Low basketball iq individually and collectively
6. Not one pure shooter or scorer
7. Unreliable
8. Careless with the basketball
9. No leadership
10. Plays without emotion
Coach Haase has a lot of work to do, I think this program is 2/3 years away from being a contender.
I don't think we'll be a favorite for the league title next year, of course. But I think we will finish top 4 next year and be in there competing for an NIT or maybe even an NCAA bid.
This team is small and lacks depth. Those were big issues all season long, and they were issues again today. Coach Haase knows what he is doing, and you can tell he has an extremely high basketball IQ based off of numerous decisions he's made this season. We all knew this season had a low ceiling, and this is about how I saw it ending. I expect next year's team to be much more competitive, and I expect several of the new guys to come in and contribute immediately.
You sound like Gorilla right now, and that is not a compliment.

I imagine hasse knows that. I think next year's practice is going to start with lots of ball-handling training.
What? Reggie Miller wasn't a good ball handler, nor is Ray Allen. The only position that relies heavily on ball handling is pg.

Looking at our turnovers we can work on ball-handling/passing.
Haase wants to push the pace as well-- this will need our players to be better ball-handlers.

I gave an honest, no green-colored glasses, opinion of my team. As I have before, follow link and read post #5. You sound like an idiot right now and that is a compliment.

Of your list of 10, few are really surprising in perception based on what we have seen repeatedly all season. The most critical IMHO is #9 which is the MOST IMPORTANT to correct in the 2013-2014 season. I believe that #9 was a / the major factor contributing to many of the other 8 shortcomings (#1 is hardly questionable). We never developed the consistent playing "go to guy" we needed all season. Usually we played like a "pick up playground team" with a different player (or none) having a good game but with no one "taking charge" for the season. Maybe next year will be the year it happens.
