I am thinking along the lines of the Premier League (e.g. Barclays Premier League), NASCAR (e.g. Sprint Cup), and golf (e.g. Nationwide Tour).

It could work well with a slogan, too. Say, Pepsi is our sponsor. "Generation Next Basketball Championship by Pepsi" would be our conference.
