Don't they get out on the field during junior day? Or do they just get to listen to people talk?

I'm sure they go out on the field, but they don't work out. I think its a chance for them to bring their families and meet the people around the athletic department. Here's the story:

DENTON, Texas - The University of North Texas football coaching staff hosted its annual Junior Day Feb. 23, with nearly 300 prospective student-athletes visiting campus. It was by far the most successful Junior Day event in program history.

"This is a tremendous opportunity for us to expose the fantastic facilities and resources we have at North Texas to potential student-athletes," said Head Coach McCarney. "Relationship building is a big part of the recruiting process and this is a big first step in that effort. When we open and door and reveal all at North Texas has to offer people are surprised and the response has been unanimously positive."

Thanks, SSJ. What about the "Friday Night Lights" thing that they do? I know the recruits get out on the field for that--but do they get to run routes, etc. there?

I don't know. I know they go down on the field, and I think they work out for the coaches, but I'm just not sure. I'll talk to some friends and find out.
