Does that begin the process of considering additions or are you saying they will actually make decisions on invitations?

It will be the dicision on who to add. When they actually announce it is a different story.

So now we have:

2 schools that could call themselves "Louisiana"
2 schools that go by ASU
possibly 2 schools that go by GSU, in the same state mind you.

Could we be more confusing?.?.?...

We have one school in Louisiana that has chosen its brand (ULM) who also wants say-so in the brand of the other.

I guess I see the Sun Belt having a brighter future. The rise of Ark. St and Louisana with consistant wins is giving this conference a change in view and attitude. I can't wait to see Bryan Harsin does with Ark St.

Anyone know the voting status of Georgia State considering we're not officially members till July? According to the AJC(http://www.ajc.com/weblogs/georgia-state...weekend/), President Becker is in Hot Springs and is part of the conversation. However, I'm not sure if we just get to talk about it, or if we get to vote or what.

I think we have input but that is all. It wouldnt be in the advantage of Easter schools to have the new schools voting.

Most likely correct. This is how Texas St was when the WAC was trying to expand.

So you think we'll be champs again then. I'll take it.

With the addition of Appy St, we get a team with a recognized name, good fan following and a real chance to be successful very quickly. It's a good add for the SBC and is really a good replacement for many of the teams that already left. I think Ga Southern could be the same kind of addition to the league, but with less name recognition.

App St comes in with a more recognizable name then South or Ga State.
