Just. Say. No.
There are only going to be a handfull of G5 vs AQ bowls. Why send your champ to play a G5 school in the conference top bowl? Besides, 90% of the time either the unnamed conference or the MW will win the non-AQ BCS bowl spot--which means if the unnamed conference's champ is heading to the Liberty (and not a BCS bowl)--they would most likley play the #2 team from the Mountain West (cuz thgier real champ is likely in a BCS bowl).
Too me it still be better. I rather play an A12 #2 (that still may be ranked) rather than a PAC 12 #7.

We agree. I would rather see Cincinnati play Boise State, Fresno State, or SDSU than play Vandy or Duke. (Bearcats last two bowls).

The A-12 needs to be working to get as many secondary tie ins with these games as possible. Try to get where if some of the ACC/SEC/B12 bowl slots aren't filled that they are the next choice. It's about as good as can be hoped for.
The way the Big 12 is hoarding bowls , you'd think they had 12 or 14 teams.
The way the ACC is scheduling Bowl alliances with the Big 12, B1G, and SEC looks like they are not going to be raided.

Exactly. Even though most of time one of our champions will be in the Access bowl, I still can see this bowl matchup growing and becoming quite meaningful. Casual fans like to watch 2 ranked teams play against each other vs for instance, a highly ranked MW team vs .500 PAC team.

We should get prepared to inherit the CUSA bowl line line up. This move has turned into the conference realignment version of the movie Groundhog Day.
Undoubtedly, CUSA and Nbe/A12 whatever are going to play many bowls against each other.

Add me to the chorus that a champion versus champion bowl is much better than a 6-6 team from the A5. I hope C-USA is talking to both the A-12 and MWC about a champions game. Those 6-6 teams are a lose-lose. Lose the game, and it reinforces that even the dregs of those conferences are better than the top of the others. Win the game, and ESPN talks about how the team wasn't motivated or interested against inferior competition.

Doubt it. Both conferences are going to want some variety. I could see one or 2, but not "many".

The ACC probably gets the BBVA bowl. That game won't be the same without Pitt...

Here is the B12 Bowl lineup:
Fiesta
Cotton
Alamo
Buffalo Wild Wings
Holiday
Meineke of Texas
Pinstripe
Ticket City/Military
I don't see how it could be moved to the end, so that means it would have to bump another one. Is the B12 looking at dropping one? If it's moved to the end, that's not very attractive for Russel. Which slot would it take....
The Holiday is looking to the Big Ten. I suspect everything ends up like this:
Russell - Big 12 vs. ACC
Holiday - B1G Ten vs. Pac 12
BWW - Pac 12 vs. Big 12
B1G, Holiday Bowl have mutual interest

Let's think logically about this before jumping to conclusions. If it's moved to end of line, no way that's more attractive than A12 with USF and UCF. If it's somewhere in the middle, I can see that, but which bowl gets bumped from B12.
likely lose pinstripe bowl and slide a couple of the other bowls down some so russell bowl /and alamo bowl become top big 12 pick after sugar and playoff

Perhaps a few bottom rung bowls. Maybe a #3 will play your champ in Dallas. But, if no AQ schools are available for the unnamed conference, then i expect we will likely square off against the MW in most upper bowls.
