That should pretty much end Akron's hopes for a MAC title and glory in the big dance. What a dumb*** to do something like this.

Well, I'm waiting for the MAC Commissioner's official statement...certainly this should qualify for some type of ban on a MAC championship being claimed by Akron should they win one, wouldn't it? I mean, that's gotta be a bit more embarrasing for the MAC than UT having former players whose GPA wasn't "high" enough...

The Commisioner's office has already spoken on the matter. As a result of Abreau's arrest Toledo will lose two scholarships and four home games next yer.

Not only is this a huge blow to Akron, but this is a huge blow to the MAC. After watching Ohio make a NCAA tourney run last March, I believe this Akron team is even better. I thought they would have a great chance to match what OU did last year, and represent our conference quite well. Not any more. The MAC will probably be one and done this year during March Madness......Kid's bad decision may cost Akron and the MAC.
