I'm sure the ACC would be perfectly happy of they could rotate its tournament through Greensboro and MSG, but that's reportedly not what MSG wants (which is looking for an annual event). I like Thamel as a reporter a lot, but this piece was purely an opinion from the perspective of a Syracuse alum not wanting to give up being in NYC every March. UNC, Duke and the other powers that be in the ACC are going to think differently.

actually 14 of 15 ads were in favor of committing to msg long term try to guess who wasnt?

What the ADs want is irrelevant. The ACC tournament is an economic boon every year for the Greensboro area. Do you really think they're going to allow a major event like that to be pulled out of North Carolina with the negative effect that would have on the local economy?

You know he's full of it because he says only one AD was against it. That means he is saying that either Duke or UNC or both said they would move the ACC tournament up to NYC long term. No friggin way.

The school against it was FSU according to Cuse AD.

He didn't say they would be okay with it on a long term basis, just that they were okay with it being part of a rotation.
