Here's to a Great Game Saturday
Hard to believe this may be the last regular season game.
Hopefully, we'll see the series continued, if not immediately, sometime in the future.
Lots of common ground between the two programs, beloved Coach Bartow is obvious but it goes a lot deeper than that....deeper than a lot of people are willing to admit. At one time, our biggest recruiting rival for local talent was the Gene/Larry tandem.
Here's to a good game and that the team that plays the best wins......and the series continues soon.

RE: Here's to a Great Game Saturday
I have a good feeling about it. Fate..
1. My 9 yr old son and I are driving up for the game.
2. We have lower level tickets amongst the Tiger fans.
3. Last scheduled game between UAB/Memphis
4. Last conference game this year. (regular season)
5. Memphis is undefeated in conference.
6. They had a scare against UTEP, but they are over confident.
7. UAB is playing good ball right now and much better than at their first meeting. UAB has nothing to lose in this game.
Just my $0.02, but I'm hopeful!

I can't recall another long running series where the mental aspect has had more influence than this one. It's simply unexplainable.

Thanks, OT. I've said my share of harsh things about Tiger fans, but you have always shown class and fairness. I hope its a good game as well.

Two words: Mike Davis.
That mentality did not exist when Anderson was coach.

Thanks ATTALLABLAZE and UAB Band Dad. Your comments are greatly appreciated and reciprocated.
We've got our share of "unique" fans to say harsh things about.
That mental aspect thing seems to work in reverse for football, although you guys have been legitimately better most years.
Perhaps baseball will have the same championship participants this year as it did last year.

I’m going to miss you guys, a lot of water under the bridge. Hopefully we’ll schedule a series in the future and/or meet up again down the road.
Here’s to a good game today.

I was impressed with the Blazers today. They never quit and didn't seem the least bit intimidated. I think Haase is a good coach and will get UAB turned around very quickly. That team is much better and much tougher than the one I saw at Bartow Arena back in January.

It was refreshing to see the team fight back in the second half. It will be interesting to see if the series is continued. I can't help but think that UAB and Memphis will wind up playing again sooner rather than later.

RE: Here's to a Great Game Saturday
I will say this about the memphis bb folks that I & Blazerjay sat with in the nosebleeds, they were kind vs what I've seen in some of the fb fans of ya'lls that I saw at LF in the past. I'd like for the series to continue in either fb or bb at some point & have the Battle for the Bones again.
