Wow...this story is silly...

If they're so concerned about the kids...why don't the 3 teams sitting on the outside just schedule each other? I'm sure they have some kids in the community that would join. They would probably have enough for a 4th team to let each team play each other 3 times.

Mississippi use to have conferences and no state playoffs, but that changed into a playoff system and the conferences became a thing of the past. When that happened everyone turned up in districts and all schools were assigned to a district of same level in their area. Does this state not have playoffs? If not maybe this is the chance to do so.

I played peewee for the DC Express in Huntington. I don't believe there is a state championship. The last game of the year was the "Turf Bowl" in Marshall's stadium.

WV doesn't have state titles for Little League. Each conference has a championship game. You either have 8, 10 or 12 teams. Devided into 4, 5 or 6 teams per division. The 2 division winners play for the title. Or thats the way it used to be just a few years ago.

If this doesn't have to do anything with a carrot going into a ginger's or swimmer's oriface, I'm out of here.

Oklahoma has play-off for little league.
The top 2 in each division got to the play-offs.
For basketball and football.
