. . . and invites 2 football members, there will only be 3 voting members left. They can vote to dissolve the conference and keep all that money.

Something to think about.

That is a big if, and we aren't getting much anyway so who cares? Big 10 just said it has no expansion on the present radar.

What is the required percentage to dissolve? If it is 75%, two votes gets you 66%. You'd need USF to vote with you.

Delaney talks out of both sides of his mouth. It's called misdirection. Don't believe/trust him for a second.

The Big 10 is expanding. Cincci throw the new guys a few bucks now and we will look after you on the way out.

Keep all of what money? They will distribute all of it before adding new members. They would only dissolve to avoid the exit fee.

If you want to wrap your brains around a vote to dissolve scenario...how about this one. The Armageddon scenario hits the ACC but unlike other conferences that get teams picked off piece meal they are the first to do the smart thing...vote to dissolve the ACC since all but 4 teams will find homes in the Big1G, SEC and Big12. That means no $50 million dollar exit fees and everybody takes their valuable NCAA units with them and the 4 teams stuck in the former ACC have to find a home.

And USF, Cinnci and UCONN miss out on $30,000,000 in fees each. I think they can wait a year

RE: If the ACC calls next week . . .
Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis said Wednesday that while the number of 14 is "awkward" when it comes to scheduling, he doesn't see further expansion coming anytime soon to the Big Ten.

"We're not in a position right now where we're looking to expand," Hollis said. "There are not teams that are being talked to or discussed. It is off the radar right now from Big Ten athletic directors and the conference office. We're trying to figure out, more importantly, the integration of Rutgers and Maryland. Our focus and attention right now is in that direction."

So does that mean that if Delaney says the B1G wants Cincinnati that we should not believe him? 05-stirthepot

Yeah. If the 3 of us end up in the ACC or Big 12 in 2 years, we may end up quietly one of the biggest winners of the realignment, after being the biggest losers up until now.

Gotta agree with you. I'll believe something happens when I see it. No sense worrying until then. I don't necessarily believe what the guy says either.

We should all just enjoy one more year of BCS money, and whatever happens, happens. People on here just don't look on the bright side.
