They can have Ga St, never understood that add anyway, sorry Ga St fan.

The new C-USA will have an average attendance under 5k for football.

Facilities, market, plugged a hole that no longer exists. WKU fans are a peculiar fan base.

What do you mean by that?

RE: Marshall to former BE?
The Georgia State bashing is so stupid. They have the budget and the in state talent, it would simply not make sense for them to be bad long term. I'm not saying I expect them to turn into a Sun Belt power, but if you think they can't reach at least middle of the pack, you're crazy.

Dont worry about it Kapp. A lot of people cant read the tea leaves and dont do the research. The things this HC and staff are talking about from day one plus their track record tells me we will not have any problems long term

Ga St bashing if fun. 05-mafia

I just want conference mates that bring fans, or at least potential of fans. I just don't see Ga St gaining momentum in Atlanta. They will always be in the bottom for attendance.

Their attendance is always going to look bad so long as they're playing in the dome/new Falcons stadium, but if they're putting even a semi-consistent winner on the field they'll do just as well in attendance as anyone not named Arkansas State or Louisiana. If they put a consistent winner they could put together some nice crowds(but still be lucky to fill 40% of the dome) but if that starts happening they'll be gone shortly thereafter.

Our numbers are much better then yours, don't fool yourself. We also have the benefit of no competition in town. You guys are competing with UGA as well as Ga Tech in your backyard. Well, actually you guys are in Ga Tech's backyard.

Our numbers will get better, will yours???

Yes, winning helps. I live in a city of 5.5 million. That's morepeople than your state and we're only the 3rd FBS school. We will be fine.

That just means you live in a city of 5.5 million people that don't care about your program.

Alright this really reminds me of someone on the deck of the Titanic early on when a few thought BIG trouble was ahead after hitting the iceberg....selling state rooms at remarkable prices but you must act then in CASH......because bumping that big ice cube was no big deal and getting on that first life boat is only a practice if trouble were to happen further in the ice field......BE is looooooooser just like CUSA.....we in the Belt maybe little guys but our boat does not currently have a big gapeing hole in it.....CUSA.....has a fricking port side missing......BUT JUST IN CASE.....we will all go for the dream of that cheap state room.

So you think you don't compete with Auburn and Alabama in your backyard? If you include UGA, then you're in the same boat(worse since Tech has a bad following).

Atlanta to Athens less then 70 miles
Mobile to Tuscaloosa more then 200 miles
Mobile to Auburn more then 230 miles

Big difference.

Again, Atlanta Area pop. is 5.5M. We arent competing in recruiting with ACC and SEC schools. We will get the players we need easily because of numbers and location. We could focus on Cobb, Gwinnett, Fulton, Dekalb, Clayton and Henry counties and be more than ok recruiting forever. The one thing that has shocked this new staff coming mostly from the Midwest and Northeast is the numbers of great players just within 10-12 miles of campus. I expect 2013 tobe rough. But by 2015 I expect exactly what this HC has said from day one, to be competing for championships and going to bowls.

They aint Bama. We're all in the SBC and nobody is exactly drawing 50k a game to be all snarky about anyone else's attendance.

I am trying to figure out how we compare to UAB.

They are located in a smallish mid sized Southern City...No

They play in a falling down decrepid stadium...No

According to Bleecher Report they play in one of the 10 worst practice facilities in FBS....um...No

I mean...really...
