This is the one thing me and RedMan agree with pretty much 100%. We may disagree to #12's identity but not the fact there will be a 11 and 12.

Exactly we're going to 12. This is where i think Fox has a much bigger say in. I think they are okay with 10 to start but for it to quickly expand to 12 and stay there for a bit.

Yes he did. The only school addressed was why VCU was out. To go with his original article that said 10 and stop.

In question 5 he says"the A-10 will lose at least two and probably more key members". The at least two are Butler and Xavier. The probably more would be St Louis and then Dayton or Richmond.

You are forgetting that every other writer and article with any credibility says 12 teams. 10 in '13 and 12 in '14.

Bingo. If Creighton's a done deal, they'll wait until the MVC Tournament is overwith as well.

The irony here is that Butler is in the A-10 THIS year because the Horizon would have barred them from their conference tournament this season. Only once has the A-10 barred a team from a conference tournament, but that was because St. Bonaventure forfeited their final 2 games (long story here) back in 2003.

The schools don't announce these things the conference announces them and usually likes to do it together. Usually but not always. Though I don't see the Big East announcing Creighton on tues then waiting until next week to announce Butler and Xavier.

I'm betting whatever teams join for 2013 will be announced next Tuesday.

Right after conference tournaments end and right before the NCAA tournament begins to get people talking about the new league.

Exactly. No way they are going to create controversy at the A-10 tournament for Butler and Xavier by announcing before or during. They will wait until after the tournament. If Creighton is in for July, they'll announce that at the same time as X &BU as the MVC tourney is over. If no announcement on Creighton at that time, they'll go with only 9 for 2013/14 and expand by 3 next year, but probaly announced before July 1 which gives any A-10 schools a 1 year heads up as required. Creighton can leave any time with no penalty.

Katz seems to imply just 9 with his 16 game schedule tidbit.

it would be stunning if we only go 9 with Creighton not included. They have next to nothing to get out(it's like 50k I think).

Hearing from where? Lot's of people hear lots of things, doesn't mean they are all correct.
