It's a nonissue. We are in the Belt as long as we want to be. All things being equal, I'd probably prefer to be in nonfootball conference. But the Sun Belt is perfect for us geographically, and I don't think we could convince anyone we are a Catholic school. Whether the MoValley is even remotely possible, who knows.

You should pay more attention to our attendance when we play you to judge our fan interest than to message board commentators view.

I hate to be an ******* like so many who use their board(there are a lot of good guys on that board too), but I believe they were barely a .500 program for years until they hired Hugh Freeze and then Gus Malzahn. They moaned and bitched for years until they fired Steve Roberts. It's not like they've always been a football powerhouse. Why the hell it bothers some of them so much whether or not we have a football program, and how many fans we have, how many of our fans wear school gear at the games, or how many have Trojan license plates on their cars, I don't know. But it does bother some of them a lot. Basketball is for sissies. They play in indoors where it's warm. You gotta be tough to sit out in inclement weather and watch a football game I guess.

Don't think anyone here questions your fan interest. I think everyone here would concede that ASU has a lot more fans, and they certainly travel much better. Just don't get the obsession from some on your board with which teams fans wears the most team gear, which teams fans has the most team license plates on their cars, or which team has the oldest fans, and other silly **** like that. I'm more concerned with who beat who the most. And I believe that probably over the past ten years, it's probably about even on the men's side, and I'd say that since Foley came along, our women have dominated the series for the past seven years or so. That's all I'm concerned about between us and ASU. That we beat them more than they beat us.

I am sure we are the pwt living in our single wide and that many in their double wides look down on us.

The truth is, we are not in the SBC anymore. The sbc changed their name to cusa and added a few good basketball schools to form a pretty good conference.

I would love to play so miss, ecu, uncc, udo, and top 25 la tech every year.

The new SBC is the land of broken toys in football and basketball.

5 years ago we were doing pretty good in basketball as a conference and it went to hell.

Football picked up in that period of time and then everyone that could left.

Now the folks that missed the bus are stuck with all of the ugly girls and pissed about it. Well, most colleges have an ugly girl sorority. You can get pissed about being in phi beta phatso but they may need to learn to like it.

Phi Beta Phatso? Is that a relatively new sorority?

Don't really understand anyone left in the conference having an issue with UALR or UTA. Without those 2 teams they'd be down to 8 members and would have to start worrying about losing their automatic NCAA bid with any more defections.

There is a significant portion of the sports fan world that think that football IS the only sport.

arkstfan, I've always considered you to be very knowledgable about the ASU program, Sun Belt, and NCAA rules. Explain what is the problem with UALR, or Texas-Arlington being non-football schools? It doesn't affect those football schools in anyway. For some, it sure get their panties in a wad.

WKU will get an invite before long.

After that I can't even name the schools in the conference...

ull, a state and a bunch of new guys. that makes us a long term core member....

Old Dominion, Florida International,Louisiana Tech, North Carolina- Charlotte, North Texas and Texas-San Antonio Alabama- Birmingham, East Carolina, Marshall, Rice, Southern Mississippi, Tulane, Tulsa and UTEP.

Just went to another site and saw Tulane and ECU are leaving or the former Big East. I guess that would leave 12 in that mish-mash of a conference.

IT doesn't bother me with You guys not having football. In my opinion it would be better for you guys to be in a basketball only conference. I love the instate rivalry. I just don't like losing to you but that's our problem not yours.

We have the same problem, It's a bummer to lose to ASU. Hurts until you get'em back.

If I had my druthers I'd rather be in a all basketball school conference. We could still play each other, but it wouldn't mean quite as much as it does being a conference game.
