According to College Gameday Nothing Happened With the Big East This Week
College Gameday did not mention ONE SINGLE THING about the Big East split today. What a hack show.

If you are surprised by this you haven't been paying attention in the last year or so. A clear battle line has been drawn and we are on the other side. Do not expect much from ESPN going forward. Let's hope Fox can execute.

I don't know how much to read into this. Because the summary, at the end of the week, is that nothing happened. Stuff was about to happen, stuff was supposed to happen, but then nothing actually happened.

Is that story really a good use of airtime on a national wrapup show?

nothing really did happen. espn was reported the changes going on from "sources" and as "likely" during the week. However since nothing has been "officially" determined, maybe they want to back off.

whats the chatter being heard at xavier, butler and creighton? does anyone know?

I don't think it means that much. I know that at least one national ESPN personality (Scott Van Pelt) spent quite a bit of time talking about the Big East situation on his show yesterday. When the C7 actually invites Butler and Xavier, then it becomes a legit topic of conversation for the masses.

By the way, the C7 is likely going to end up on ESPN in a limited capacity with a sublicensing deal with Fox (similar to how Fox will likely end up with some Old Big East football and basketball games from ESPN). So, barring an unforeseen breakdown in talks, C7 games won't disappear from ESPN.

Watched some ESPN the last couple days, got some small mentions on PTI and Around the Horn. Didn't see the Outside the Lines segment. Kind of surprised though they didn't get any mention at all on Gameday. During the Creighton game, they did put up some lines about the Big East breakup near the end of the game and mentioned how Creighton was a possibility.
