Nice win for women on the road
Just their 2nd road win all year long I believe. But they led most of the game (and the entire second half) at UTEP, a tough place to play. That's three straight wins for the young team who are finally starting to play a bit better.

Maduka and Kuster led them tonight. And Megan Shafer played well off the bench.

Just caught the replay and loved the way the ladies played tough down the stretch. Maduka took over the scoring at the end with a couple of great layups on finger rolls.

I was able to catch a few games this season and it seems kuster is playing out of position. She was moved out from under the basket and her shot percentage and rebounding declined from previous years. We have some good players that were not used efficiently, it takes a team to win, you can't rely on one player. They proved they could beat top teams, but they lacked something, I can't pinpoint the problem.

I'd start with point guard. The other Jessica (Goswitz) was even more out of position than Kuster. We've signed a point guard for next year - hopefully she can start right away.

They can turn it around quickly if she is any good. Tulsa just won the women's tournament which was surprising to me but they were the host team (and had some good senior guards).

Yes, well looks as though Tulsa shot 22 free throws in the second half, while we shot zero. Home court advantage at its finest. I think some adjustments need to be made for next year. From what I saw, granted I caught a few games, Kuster needs to move back down low, where she is most effective.
