Pretty much made up of Confederate states.

Ever heard of anyone retiring and moving north?

True, but in all honesty, I think that's because of the weather.

Sure, but that's as important a quality of life metric as a lot of things, no?

It is, I'll agree with that.

Just once would you not spout off without knowledge?
Yes, I am aware you were born and raised in a Confederate state. Most likely Alabama where school doesn't matter as long as there is football.

No, genius.

There were no confederate states when I was born. There were only US states. For over a hundred years.

You're calling out my education? What the hell were they teaching you?

Smug, self-important, super over opinionated, feeling as they are the center of the universe, not enough belief in mankind to think that others should think for themselves, containing the feeling of moral outrage if others do not believe the way that they believe, failure to see others points of view or even to take into consideration others opinions, and lacking racial openness.

What does that describe? South Canadians (normally those people that live in the Rust Belt), or Southerners?

I live in Texas, where everyone is from Pennsylvania, Illinois, or California. Not many Texans are moving to those states.

They move South, but they hate Southerners; something sounds wrong about that.

Sorry to bump this old thread, but nothing drives home this point like the current awful March here in MI. Once you reach that fifth consecutive month of grey, cold and snow with no end in sight, the South looks reeeaaallly appealing.

Honestly, I'd rather have snow that arrives and stays, compared to the back and forth of northern Illinois. Snow, then it melts, kind of. Mud. Then ice. Thaw. More mud. Rain mixed with snow. Rinse and repeat.

My neighbor, currently cutting a pine tree off his car, would like a word with you.

But we get our share of severe thunderstorms and tornados here, too. So it's a draw in that category.

Yeah, warmth is nice but we have to deal with huricanes and tornados. Each region has it's own weather to deal with I guess. I still don't like snow.

My sister always used to say "In Buffalo a storm comes and you're snowed in your house for a day or to. In Miami a storm comes and you have no more house"..
