Just saw on the BE board a Memphis poster saying "Just got an email from the U of M athletic department that Tom Bowen couldnt make an event on Friday due to a Big East meeting in Atlanta on Friday."

I'd kind of think 2 primary things
1- maybe resolution with the C7 group- might include the Big East name.
2- then to vote on the new tv deal

kind of curious to see if anyone has heard anything about this. The timing is very interesting to me.

One item--Friday is March 1. That's 27 months before July 1, 2015. If the 27 months has any significance, then Friday is a deadline.

I think the date is far more signifigant for a 2013 split quite frankly. I've always maintained that it'd be end of Feb when we'd have to have it announced that we're splitting effective 2013. There's just too much smoke now and also too much logic for it NOT to happen for 2013.

Yeah. I think that 10 million dollar joke of a bridge year contract sealed the deal for an all out C-7 effort to be out by July 2013.

March 5th is when Fox is going to announce the formation of its two new networks and then also hold its upfront meetings with advertisers. Fox wants to be able to present its new Catholic 7 deal to the advertisers at that point.

I saw someone post that the "Upfronts" are where they roll out the fall schedules, which sounds familiar. I don't think that sports networks go into as much detail as regular-schedule networks, but they'll be announcing on Tuesday that they have Big East basketball.
