Yep. After starting 1-3, the Tigers have really turned it around. 4-0 against any of the SEC teams is impressive. Beating Ole Miss is very impressive.

I'm gonna try to make it to the Sunday game this weekend.

If our fans would only fill that little stadium up and justify expanding it, recruiting would be easier and we could compete for national championships in baseball. Those who don't go to any Tiger baseball games are missing the single best sports entertainment value in Memphis. Five bucks a ticket ($3 for seniors) is quite a deal. I talked my wife into going to a game a few years back and she is now hooked - likes it every bit as much as football and basketball.

It would help if the Commercial Appeal would start paying the program a decent amount of attention. Maybe if they gave a little less attention to such crap as hockey teams in Canada they would have more room.

I heard general admission was free this year. I'm not complaining about $5 but which is it?

That was me...I thought I saw that on twitter, but it was just for the first weekend series

[i][i]MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis Athletic Department announced Thursday that admission will be free for the opening weekend baseball series against Illinois State at FedExPark. Tiger fans are encouraged to come out and see this year's squad in action.

Beginning with the Arkansas State game on February 19, single game admission is $5 for adults 13-and-up and $3 for children ages 6-12. Children ages five and under and U of M students with ID cards are admitted free. Season ticket packages are available for $25 and cover the remaining 31 home games after opening weekend.

The Tigers play two games at AutoZone Park and those two matchups are not included in the season ticket package. Admission will be $10 for each contest at AutoZone Park. General group tickets are on sale for $2 for groups of 10 or more. Group tickets are offered for games played at FedExPark (with the exception of the Tennessee game) only. However, they must be purchased in advance at the Athletic Ticket Office. Tickets will be made available online HERE.

Posters and schedule cards were printed for the 2013 season and the FREE ADMISSION seen on the poster was meant for the opening series only. The Athletic Department regrets the error and is thus releasing this information.

True

Does not equate to basketball. Ranked team uses #3 pitcher, unranked team uses #1 pitcher. Unranked team wins

I don't think we threw our # 1 guy last night (we actually went Johnny Bullpen), yet we won the game. Ole Miss helped with 6 (yes 6) errors, but we were able to close the game out and win. The point was that Rock finds a way to beat good teams from time to time while loosing WAAAAY too many mid week and early season games to average teams. Conversely, Josh typically beats the teams he is supposed to beat, but can't get over the hump against the big boys.

We didn't throw our #1 pitcher yesterday.

Moll, Shoenrock, and Gunn are our weekend starters. Wills is a midweek guy and started the Ole Miss game. He also started the previous midweek game against arkansas state....in both games Wills pitched 4.2 innings

I was wondering who started. That's awesome! No excuses on this one. Just a good win.
