6 of 18 from FT line. Has anyone ever seen movie 'Hoop Dreams'? there is a scene where bball HC tells his team "I cant shoot the shots for you" during a game.

Good halftime adjustments. Full court zone pressure gave X a lot of trouble.

I guess some blame has to be given to Pastner and coaches for lackluster, poor first half. It is coaches job to prepare team. But, I dont think it is accurate to say that this L is all on Josh.

The same problems that have plagued us since Pastner took over jumped up last night.
The same problems we have had ALL season that have been ignored while we are busy talking about how great CUSA and CUSA teams are, jumped up last night.
When you ignore all the negative and focus on all the positive, you tend to not improve the negative.
If you HAVE to play in CUSA you HAVE to use it as an extended practice and correct mistakes.
When you fool yourself into believing you are actually winning against "really good teams, with really good coaches, with a lot of talent", you don't realize how much work you have to do to get better.

Fortunately Pastner won't even have to learn this lesson (which after 4 years you have to wonder if he CAN learn it) because next season we move to the Big East.

we lost OUR super bowl. of course the seasons not over but we just made it real hard on ourselves to get past of the ncaa first game. real hard.

The loss wasn't on Pastner but I disliked our gameplan.

Our guards were too tentative, we should have pressed more, I guess CJP is worried our bigs will pick up even more cheap fouls on the help defense if our guards do get burned pressing.

The first play of the game and the one at the end of the first half summed it up our demise. The open shot is always a good shot if your teammates are in rebounding position.

Yep, this may well be the difference between a deeper run and an early exit again. Just a horrible night where the worst case scenario played out; NO ONE showed up to play. The only real energy I saw was from Damien Wilson.

It made our road more difficult for sure, the good news is this team can beat anybody as well.

If Pastner doesn't get the blame when the team shoots poorly, does he get the credit when we win because the team shoots a high percentage?

Win as a team, lose as a team. From every coach to every player.

We certainly just moved back down in the 8,9,10 range if we win out. Fair or not many of the so called experts we looking at thisi to see if we had really improved and we decide to be cool in the first half and walk around, absolutely amazes me how we pick the worst times to play our worst. The entire team sucked in the first half!!! It is time to get a real big man coach in here, our bigs never get any better to me.
