I'm skeptical of Pastner, but I ain't throwin' in the towel yet!
This team has the talent and athleticism to win some games in the NCAA's this season with the right matchup. Forget the seed, it's all about the draw. We get a team who likes to play uptempo we've got a shot. So whether it's a 7, 10, or 12 seed the NCAA tournament isn't a lost cause.
For the record, Xavier looked pitiful in a loss to Memphis last year at the Forum and still advanced to a Sweet 16.

Some are skeptical of Pastner because of his 0-11 record vs. ranked teams, 1-14 record vs. RPI top 25 opponents and 0-2 record in the Dance. Kinda understandable.

I was to and then we won 18 in row with an average margin of victory around 18. And then I remembered we have won back to back conference titles and are still undefeated in conference this year... Remember we have only lost 4 games all year...

The chances of us playing an up and down team are slim and none. We will get a team that's good on the boards and that will slow us down. That's a given.

This team is better suited to handle teams that slow us down, what happened tonight is for whatever reason dj, tarik, adonis were not fronting in the post. It took Geron and Chris doing it for things to start to swing. This team unlike teams the last few years have won ugly games. In the ugly games that we have won we did things the way they are coached. Not sure what happened tonight.

Newton sucked. Back then every moron had a scientific breakthrough. ie.. Water makes you wet. Even newton wasn't smart enough to not drink from the same river he $)it in.
And this has officially gone to ntr

Is that in any way similar to winning a bunch of golf tournaments but never winning a major?

I suppose, but I would argue that you would still be far better than the average pro golfer...

Betcha five dollars that with access to the right data & a bitchen algorithm, we would find that the early careers of successful, more tenured coaches were rife with foibles when examined in a particular way. Hell, make it six bucks.

Glad a "fan" is not throwing in the towel, based on 1 road loss after 18 consecutive wins.
All right!!!

There were also some missed dunks in key situations, and the missed free throws. I blame Pastner for not moving the basket over so the balls would go in. Just can't believe that he would just stand there and not move the rim so they would go in. Cal would have done it.
