Why not press for 40 mins?

Because we could not make enough shots through the first 25 minutes.

5 years ago we were in the championship game, now we are happy about timeout placement. Swell.

Actually...

"WE" are happy the team won 18 in a row and despite this one loss on the road, look like a team capable of making another deep run.

Some minor discussion that the coach handled the end game well, drawing up a play that created a remarkably wide open three point shot by our hottest 3 point shooter.

Massive phail on this one.

Yeah no kidding.

I agree, Pastner did a good job. We had won 18 in a row, we're not a dominant force and the guys came out flat. They had a chance to win. Look at all the crazy things going on. It's hard to bash Pastner on this. They just wanted it more. I think we still are capable of winning a few games in the tournament. And I will say this, all other conferences the good ones have a toughness you don't see in C-USA and it probably is like getting run over by a pack of dogs and we weren't ready for it or use to it. These guys will be fine, their a better team than what they showed tonight.

they were down to basically 2 to 3 ball handlers. The numbers were in our favor to press them and wear them out.

I dont claim to be an expert. Just stating an opinion.

When we made our comeback... we were pressing.

Have to make shots to be able to set a press - too many missed shots in the first half to set a press. Once our shots started falling - we started pressing. Points feed press - can't have it any other way.

RE: Gotta give props to Coach Pastner
Did we press any in the first half? Other than the token on ball pressure by Geron against Christon. Hitting 3's, occasional 2-3 Zone and full court pressure allowed the Tigers to get back into the game the second half. I just can't get over the fact that they had only 2 servicable guards that were not exposed....Had Dee Davis been available maybe it would have been worst.
