MyBB Ohio-Akron twitter fued
This could make the game a little more interesting. Started with a somewhat innocent tweet from Brian Walsh at Akron, then Reggie Keely went 03-hissyfit and started throwing insults at Walsh. (See: http://www.hustlebelt.com/2013/2/24/4025...itter-beef)

Now fans are involved (I guess OU and Akron fans have been goign back and forth on twitter, throwing grade school insults around). And tonight DJ Cooper, after an Akron fan tweeted "You look cute in a bra" (Link), sent the Akron fan a direct message saying...

Of course DJ denies sending that DM, but the Akron fan posted a Youtube video of him looking at the DM. So it seems pretty real.

God, I hope they play each other again. By the way the Twitter page for the alleged Cooper thing is down.

Oh, thought maybe you missed the one of the longest, most inane posts in MACBBs hx.

Like I said in that thread, sorry for sticking up for my school. Also, why are you letting G-String pull that conversation into another thread? That's all he's trying to do.

I'm glad your 2nd place finish in the West is signature worthy. I'm glad your AD is so happy with it too. I hope you finish there for many years to come!

Some Akron fans are apparently taking it upon themselves to distract Ohio's players from focusing on the game. Appears to be working.

Yeah, that's (7 ignoring the topic)stupid but we've come to expect that. I'm not really referring to you- there was tons of inanity. I contributed some. After about ten posts it turned into one of those off (football) season things that serve more to entertain than enlighten.

Jim Christian has never been big on player discipline or even keeping them out of trouble to begin with. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

If that truly came from Cooper I would think suspension? etc. That's pretty ugly stuff. Guck his girl? That's some serious dhit right there.

RE: Ohio-Akron twitter fued
bunch of bologna. Coop was doing a radio interview when that was allegedly sent, that's not real. Consider the source, that bogus Akron fan blog is the same one that said they had confirmation Coop was transferring out last spring, remember that? They're also the ones that started the crap with Keeley by making it sound like Reg's tweets were unprovoked and then encouraged Akron's classiest to pile on.

stay classy, Akron.

So you think a college student can't tweet and do something else at the same time? I'm sure there are plenty of times he is supposed to be in class, but uses his phone at the same time.

And how would the Akron fan fake the video that shows the direct message?

Ok, so what provoked Keely?

Also, Cooper didn't tweet that, it was a Direct Message. Was he doing a radio interview at that exact minute, Or just in that general time frame? It's common for athletes to do pre- and post-interview tweeting.

The young man who tweeted this has deleted all of the tweets related to it and changed some of his profile information.

Not really surprised by this, seeing that it is Akron we are talking about.

Walsh tweeted that Ohio "looked like frantic little boys" against Belmont, Keely responded by saying "Brian Walsh is a joke" then some Akron fans jumped in. Walsh was smart enough to not reply, Reg kept going. But I think fans take it way more serious than the athletes do.

Coop was on a live radio broadcast speaking when that DM (private tweet) was sent. The fact that its been deleted by the person that allegedly received it is a pretty clear indication that it wasn't legit.
