The Warning System Changes announcement by georgia_tech_swagger is CSNbbs-wide, not specifically for MemphisTigers.org. It seems that other message boards (under the CSNbbs umbrella) are experiencing a dramatic upturn in the misuse of the reputation feature.
Neither I, nor any of the Memphis mods were involved with the announcement. Sadly, some posters across CSNbbs (and at times, here) do indeed miss use the site's reputation feature. I for one, wish the reputation feature would be disabled and I have stated this on numerous occasions to my fellow Admins. Unfortunately, as the MyBB software is currently configured, it's a site-wide option and cannot be applied to only selected boards at this time.
The MemphisTigers.org mods will not be patrolling poster's reputations. However, if a poster feels a "rep war" is underway or the feature is being abused in some other perceived way, and if it is called to our attention, we will look into it and take what we feel is the best course of action.
