Seth Davis fast break article. ( 2 Memphis mentions)
Five Games I'm Psyched To See This Week
Memphis at Xavier, Tuesday, 7 p.m.
Memphis has won 18 games in a row, but it's still hard to evaluate the Tigers. Are they this good, or is Conference USA this bad? Xavier is not a great team, but it is also not easy to defeat at the Cintas Center. So this will be a good barometer for whether Memphis has the chops to play its way deep into the NCAA tournament.

We(Josh) won't ever get respect until we make at least a sweet 16 run. Or unless we go like 12-4 or something in the BE next season.

Still seems harsh.
18 games in a row- and the team has one road game at Xavier to prove themselves.
Because- we have already played and beat...
@ Southern Miss 34
Southern Miss 34
@ Tennessee 57
Harvard 83
Loyola 92
ECU 94
@ ECU 94
Ohio 72
But- after winning those, a slip at 95 Xavier means more???
Yes I know that will be the national perspective, but it is a bit unfair.

Maybe, only because it's our latest game. Bracket projecting is a very "what have you done for me lately" type of endeavor.

Don't know about Seth Davis, but has anyone ever seen Luke Winn and John Martin in the same room at the same time?

But I do like this paragraph on DJ.
Glue Guy of the Week: D.J. Stephens, 6-5 senior forward, Memphis
Stephens is one of the most explosive athletes in the country, which is why despite his modest height he is leading the Tigers in rebounding with 6.8 per game. That gift, combined with his 36.4 percent clip from three-point range, would lead you to believe he is also a big-time scorer, but he is actually seventh on the team with just 7.3 points per game. That means Stephens sacrifices his scoring ability for the sake of the team, but if the team needs him to score, he can provide that jolt. That's what he did for the Tigers last week. Stephens scored a season-high 16 points (to go with seven rebounds and five blocks) in the Tigers' 16-point rout of Southern Miss, and he added 14 points, 10 rebounds and two steals in a seven-point win over Houston last Wednesday. The Tigers have now won 18 straight games, and even though Stephens does not get most of the headlines, people who watch this team on a regular basis know that Memphis would have a much harder time winning without him.

DJ is our MVP. I've been saying it for more than a month and I still believe it. He held this team together when it could easily have imploded, he showed the way with his effort.

I may need to revisit my 'Wolken is a putz' position.

I do enjoy how he is regularly taking shots at his fellow media hacks and their false narratives.

The antics he pulled to get ratings for his radio show put me off for a while. I'm over that now. I've always enjoyed his writing, whether I agreed with him or not. And twitter seems like it was groomed just for his style of writing, especially to go into the "attack the hypocrits" mode.

That was pretty low class of him, but his writing has always been excellent and I feel he sticks up for Memphis when he see that the hacks are hard at work cutting us down.
