I see where the Falcons are planning to cut Turner. The guy is 31 yrs old. O.K., I know his rushing numbers have dropped off, but wouldn't he be a good pickup for a team needing an RB who grinds out tough yds.

He'll be playing somewhere next year, just for a lot less money. Probably will sign a 1-yr Vet Minimum deal w/ some incentives tacked on (TDs, carries, yds etc).

He can be productive still, just not even close to being a featured back anymore.

Yep. was out of shape.

Technically, he was a lot more out of shape a couple years ago. His one problem, he didn't do that well in short yardage situations. And when youre 250+ and a RB, you gotta be able to run up the middle consistently.
