If you're interested, Middle Tennessee entered the night with a RPI of 22. In spite of a 41-point win, our RPI is probably going to go back to 30 by the end of the day cause of who we played.

Middle is flat steamrolling the Sun Belt.

Thanks JMS. Never thought I would see this happen, but Kermit has really flipped the culture.

**FINAL**
in Huntington,
Marshall- 48 (12-16, 5-8)
UAB- 52 (13-14, 5-7)

*The Blazer get the season sweep of the Herd, surviving a big Marshall comeback. UAB has now won 5 of their last 7 since their mid-season 6-game losing streak. They have also won 2 of their last 3 on the road. Marshall loses their second straight home game in C-USA play. UAB's remaining regular season games are not easy: @ Tulane, SMU, UCF and @ Memphis. Marshall ends the year with a tough stretch as well: @ Houston, Southern Miss and @ East Carolina.

It's good for your program you are moving up to C-USA. You will get more exposure and better competition. With Southern Miss, Middle Tennessee, Charlotte, UTEP, UAB, Tulsa, Louisiana Tech and Old Dominion, there is no reason C-USA can't be very strong in hoops for a long time going forward.

Maybe we can dump our HC and et back on that list.

I tend to agree with you there. Although we won't have that dominant marquee program with you guys leaving I think the league will actually end up being deeper and more balanced.

I agree. It will still be in that #9 to #11 range in the RPI as a conference, but it will have more strength at the top. It would rate higher in the RPI, but there is some dead weight that will keep it down some.

Marshall had been a really solid program over the last few years, but that definitely came to a halt this year. I really don't understand what has happened because the Herd certainly has the talent.

Crazy game in Huntington. Neither team seemed to want it at the end.

Even though UAB is playing well of late, you should be able to win those two at home. The road games aren't easy.

Somebody find a ladder so Dr. Naismith can cut out the bottoms of the peach baskets.

Lot of that going on around college basketball lately. Some of these final scores would have been low scoring first halfs back in the 70s or 80s.

**FINAL**
in Las Cruces,
New Mexico State- 55 (19-9)
UTEP- 51 (14-12)

*As is par for this course in this rivalry, this one went down to the wire. UTEP suffers a heartbreaking loss in another low scoring affair. The Miners have now lost 4 of 5. They have also lost 4 straight on the road. UTEP's remaining games are Houston, @ Rice, Memphis and @ SMU.

RE: Conference USA games for Saturday 02-23-13
Conroy changed the offense 1/3 way through the league schedule and it took a while for the players to catch on. But that's why you have to play tougher teams in December...so you learn early that you can't drive it inside all the time against a team with better athletes. I'm sure we'll make the CIT, but I'd like to make the CBI. NIT is likely out of the question.
