I haven't read the entire thread so this may have been mentioned but it's even more amazing when you consider the injuries he's had to deal with.
He lost two big men, one to heart problems and the other to a career ending leg problem, before the season ever started.
One of our three returning players, and the best overall player of the three, played the first four games but hasn't seen the court since due to a leg injury.
Another player, the top-rated player in Oklahoma last year, missed the entire middle of the season with a leg injury and while he has returned and played well the last few games he's still playing with a brace on his leg.
When the above mentioned player returned we lost another big man for the season with a broken foot.
Another interior player, redshirt freshman, also missed 8-10 games with an injury but is back now.
Our backup point guard suffered a concussion in practice and has missed the last two games resulting in Freshman Shaquille Harrison needing to play almost 40 minutes per game.
Two other players, Woodard and Peete, have been playing through injuries for the last two or three weeks.
This team is young (I think I saw where they were the fifth youngest team in D-1), snakebit, and they are still going to finish way ahead of preseason predictions. Next year with Manning at the helm, some new additions including one or two JUCOs and these talented youngsters developing over the summer I expect this team to be in the post season somewhere and it wouldn't surprise me to see them playing for the CUSA title in El Paso.
