I am the complete antithesis of those hopheads and beer snobs. I am completely pleased with Budweiser and am lately drinking Stella Artois.

As an aside, I have been cruising a lot lately and have found that aboard ship they serve Stella on draft, and, on draft, it is very tasty to me. Probably why the Brit bartenders call it Wifebeater.

I like Stella. I think it goes well with lots of kinds of food, it is substantial but not overpowering, and still crisp and dry.

You do realize Stella is a "gateway beer".

First its Bud (seems perfectly fine), then its Stella (hmmm, now that is really good), next thing you know you will be trying an Anchor Steam and then....

I won't spoil the adventure tour, suffice it to say that "all roads lead to hopland," my friend.

This is so true. Can't tell you how many times I'm drinking a random beer and then just really wish I had an excellent IPA in my hand instead.

The lager house is giving away free 1 year anniversary beer glasses to each paying customer that buys a dinner. I wish I could make it!

My then girlfriend (now wife) used to work at Rock Bottom's Brewery. Brewmaster's choice or the White Ale always worked for me, the sampler with all the beers also went well with Nachos or the Jambalaya.

I do miss the downtown Cincinnati area...The Reds, Bengals, Hofbrauhaus (actually most of the Northern Kentucky bars), Rock Bottom and of course The Party Source. Clifton, Hyde Park, Mount Adams, Northern Kentucky...I miss quite a few of those watering holes!

Only hardman woyuld give you a .99 glass and act like he's giving you something special for ordering an entree, haha.

All kidding aside they are doing some cool things there and they have some good brewers, young and old that really care about what they make. The package stuff still leaves a lot to be desired but that's the nature of contract brewing.

One of the things that has made Party Source a big deal was that there was nowhere downtown to buy good beer, but now we have Market Wines, and Listing loon in Northside (good folks) and any number of places that are dabbling in good beer.

It's nice to see.
