this gig involving the potato wants social media savvy people. during my "skype" interview yesterday, they asked how prevalent i was in social media. i said i can learn. the interview went well and i made them laugh. a potential second interview looms and i would like to showcase that i do can in fact learn. so sum up twitter's nuances compared to facebook in a simple sentence or how ever long you need to.

Twitter is like a phone text posted to the internet that anyone can read if your twitter profile is public. If your twitter profile is private only those that follow you that you have approved as a follower can read your texts.

You can follow anyone with a public profile and receive their tweets on your wall, if they have a private account you can request to follow them.

You can search for people with similar interests (e.g. Bearcats, or people you may admire (didn't you have a thing for Maggie Gyllenhaal?) if they have a twitter profile).

i do have a thing for maggie gyllenhaal, though i think she's a terrible actress now. sigh. tnx for the synopsis crew. i shall have to create an account. i have a short story about a man who adapts to technology only when necessary. so this will also be necessary for me to spread word of my gallant triumphs and short to long stories. sigh. i wonder if city beat takes serials?

Twitter does limit number of characters of your tweets/texts so you'll have to be succinct.

What changed with maggie that she is "now" a bad actress? Was she just the flavor of the week for awhile? You may have broken her heart.

i am hitherto known as worshipster on twitter. that very well might be a terrible name, but it wasn't taken

it was the dark knight that made lose interest in maggie
