RE: Standing at Football Stadiums
This has my vote for dumbest thread of all time...Yes most students stand during games and even at some schools, they actually jump all game, haha...If you are a student and cannot stand than find an empty seat away from student section (do you have to be a genius to figure this out), there are plenty of empty seats at Diddle this season and Smith Stadium this past fall minus one game...I too thought this was a sarcastic thread at first, wow...

I'm always happy when people in front of me stand, as it gives me an excuse to stand, as well. I'm usually a believer in "if you can sit, don't stand, and if you can lay down, don't sit," but not at a football game.

Can I give this a plus 8?

RE: Standing at Football Stadiums
My desire to stand during games is waning, but it still exists. Most football games I stand in the student section for at least part of the game. Basketball it depends entirely on who I go with. I have friends who choose to stand in the student section, I have friends who choose to sit in other sections. I follow the mentality of who I go with as it doesn't make a tremendous difference to me.

When I was a student I stood the entire time at every game.

I'm a student, but getting old. Grey Area here.

I prefer to stand. As I mentioned before, the thread was more created as a curiosity to if other schools do this. When I was in High School, our team was so bad that football games were merely a social event to attend before you went and got drunk. When I attended the WKU vs UK game in Lexington, their crowd didn't seem to stand much. The only real issue I have is that it's difficult for my fiance, who has a difficult time standing in one spot for a long period of time.

I also see Blueraidersig is going Negative Rep happy.

I assume from his lack of posting, he's been banned/suspended from doing so?

Any time someone's warning level reaches 50% all of their posts must be approved by a moderator before they become visible to the board. I believe that is currently the case with the poster in question.

As I'm now a mod for another board, I no longer see posts in need of mod approval on this board, so I only see the posts that you do.

RE: Standing at Football Stadiums
I can help solve this for everyone.

1. If your students are not standing for everything except halftime and to pour liquor into their drinks something is wrong.

2. If you're so close to the student section that you are either annoyed, disgusted, or obstructed by the presence of students you are probalby too old to be that close to the student section and shoud strongly consider moving locations. If you are not too old and/or you are a student and are still bothered by all these things, adulthood in the real world is going to be very hard for you and you should consider a career where you can work from home.

Thanks for alerting me to that. Spamming Neg rep is not tolerated anymore. A bit of a lull is in order.

Ours stand on the seats. The KBS student section is more of a mosh pit than a seating area.

No reason to lash out at me just because you're being laughed out of your own thread by your own team's fans and others alike. You haven't heard us beg. We have options.

ToppersonTop neg repped me for calling them Goattoppers which actually came after his multiple explicative-laced tirades where we were called every name under the sun.

I just laughed at him. Poor soul (and I returned the favor because I bet rep points actually matter to him).

03-lmfao Are you jealous that an FCS school puts your attendance to shame?

I am going to wait for certain schools to get added and have a couple of 3 or 4 win seasons and then we can take an attendance count...

Sorry to hear about your girlfriend, but you don't go to the student section to sit. I used to laugh when people would ask me to sit down at basketball games (in the student section) because they couldn't see.
