MT can clinch the regular season title tonight with a win. Should be a good one at the Glass House tonight. USA could be the first SBC team to keep a game in the single digits or better in over a year at the Murphy Center.

Congrats to MT if you win tonight. Two very impressive conference seasons in a row. Impressive run.

Along those lines....as some MT fans here noted about ASU and UL football the last two seasons, I'm paraphrasing here, they basically indicated that ASU and UL have been mediocre and irrelevant in football for quite some time and these last two years are yet to be seen as more than anomalies. The same could be said of MT basketball. Maybe, maybe not. Time will tell. It appears your program has turned the corner, now sustain it.

And yes, I realize WKU is in rebuilding mode, hopefully not too long though......I hope.

I don't think you'll find nearly the same backlash from MT fans at the suggestion that our program has been mediocre before the last two years...

MT leads 10-0 over South Alabama. Fast start, excellent game for the Blue Raiders so far. Looks like another big crowd. I'd guess 7-8k.

nobody likes to hear bitching about refs when you are losing so let me do it why we are up by 15. This is an embarassment to the game.

FIU beats UALR 65-52 to end its home game season 10-3. FIU now 15-12 and 10-8 in conference. Good job Panthers!

The Jags stunk it up and MTSU played great and killed us. No excuses.

But the refs were calling EVERYTHING on both sides. It made the game incredibly hard to watch (as if it wasn't hard enough already for me). I remember at one point we had only played a little over 8 minutes of the game and USA already had 8 fouls and MTSU had 5.

Edit: 53 total fouls in game. 40 minute game. 53/40 = 1.325 fouls per minute. Atrocious!

I just rewatched that MT USA game and that might of been the worst officiated game I've ever seen, both ways. They never let the game get into a good rythem. Poor job by the three zebras.

The crowd was letting them know about it too. Also, next time, you guys might want to keep soembody on Cintron. His back to back 3 pointers were the dagger that put that game away, IMO.

sounds like it was really bad in mutsboro, it was not abominable in bowing green but the officiating was very very poor...

One guy must have been the worst ref I've ever seen at a game, and that is saying something.

We were calling him "Rabbit Ears" after he kicked out one of our fans from the arena. He heard us and turned around several times. Irony ?

A ref tossed one of your fans? wow. if you are officiating you have to have thick skin. it is part of the job. I umpired youth baseball, angry parents can be as bad as angry alumni. I have had things screamed at me that she would have beat her son for saying...when I did this in high school, a buddy of mine got an f on a paper because he called the teachers daughter out in softball...it is a tough job to do, but you have good refs, and bad refs, then you have the thin skinned refs which are the worse. either way 90% of the ncaa south refs do a decent job...

did you by chance have an ancient guy as part of your crew? when he did a wku game he tried to stare down a student after he told him he was doing a ****** job.

Those are the worst type of officials. They miss calls then get mad because someone noticed it. They are supposed to be professionals. Their total attention needs to be focused on the court. If they are noticing what you are saying (and even worse reacting to it) they are not doing their jobs. If you can't handle criticism you should not be an official.

RE: MBB Games Tonight - Thursday 2/21/2013
The best call was when one ref who was standing around midcourt blew the whistle for a foul near the basket, then couldn't even say if it was a blocking foul or a charge. The ref under the basket then made the call.

Those guys were some of the worst I've ever seen.
