20 really doesn't make as much sense as 24. Therefore continuing contiguously, they add Wyoming, CSU, New Mexico, and either Utah State or Idaho.

Yes, this is hypothetical joke, but lots of people are genuinely throwing out these Texas/OU scenarios that completely ignore several very important realities like:

-GOR
-LHN/Soonervision
-Political baggage little brothers who will put up a huge **** storm of a fight than be left in a conference that, without their bigger, more popular brethren, will at best be like the former Big East (AQ but no major bowl agreements, odd man out) and at worst the New Big East (crappy TV and Bowl deals, no more AQ)
