My Observation:

Miami seems to be struggling on offense right now. Back-to-back games, 48 & 54 points.

3 Miami (21-3) 18 27 45
Clemson (13-12) 16 27 43 - RPI 140

Virginia (18-8) 22 28 50 - RPI 76
2 Miami (22-3)243054

RE: Three observations from Tuesday
Miami's remaining regular season games:

Feb 23 @ Wake Forest (11-14, 4-9) RPI 160
Feb 27 vs Virginia Tech (11-14, 2-10) RPI 168
Mar 2 @ 6 Duke (22-3, 9-3) RPI 1
Mar 6 vs Georgia Tech (14-11, 4-9) RPI 136
Mar 9 vs Clemson (13-12, 5-8) RPI 140

Not exactly Murderer's Row save for Duke.

A loss to anybody other than Duke will drastically hurt their chances at landing a 1-seed.

That Duke game will be tough to win, but the other 4 are cakewalk city. A loss to Duke @ Cameron, and a loss by Miami in the ACC tourney may be enough to knock them down to a 2 seed. But all the other 1 seed candidates continue to lose. Florida and Duke just recently lost to unranked team. The B1G will probably get two no. 1 seeds, depending on how Michigan shakes out over the next few games. Who else is a threat to bump Miami from the final two slots? Gonzaga possibly? Who else?

I think a 1-seed is Miami's to lose.

I'm keeping an eye on them for a couple of reasons:
1. I think it's great that they HAMMERED both Duke and NC (what goes around, comes around).
2. Down the stretch they seem to be struggling. Why? I don't know. I'm keeping an eye on them, not watching every minute of every game.

All of those games are winnable and they should win 4 of them (Duke being a toss-up).

I'm just curious about their lack of offensive output. Did they already peak? Or are they just hitting a bump in the road.

The next few games should prove interesting.

RE: Three observations from Tuesday
They haven't shot well from long range the last two games. I'm actually impressed that they survived both games, despite the poor shooting. They get an enormous percentage of points from 3 pters, and playing UVA and Clemson close is what happens when they don't fall.
