Yea IIRC he was passed over by Green on gameday because he also surpassed him in practice. CBJ was big on players giving 110% in practice and rewarding them with playing time. Green did that apparently and Poteat did not.
Yeah Chris ! And he also didn't play our best players either! See Kay..Hooey..Murray
Etc. There is going to be some real interesting turnover this spring!
One of the biggest comments CTT made in his second presser was "it doesn't matter who it is, or history, "the best players will start" I thought that it was a huge statement on his part, and intriguing that he was compelled to make that comment early in the process !
No doubt about Hooey. In 2010 I never understood why he rode the pine while CJ Cobb was given so much playing time. I mean to me Alex Hoffman should have been at RG, Hooey at RT and Cobb backing Hoffman up. Instead Hooey rode the bench while Cobb struggled at RG and Hoffman was out of place at RT.
Then in the past couple of seasons I'm not sure what the relationship was between Hooey and Jones. I'm betting his injury in 2011 played a factor but I really don't know the dynamics there.

This pretty much accentuates your point: FOCUS on the LT on the senior half of the video..Jones/Mahoney That bad in talent evaluation, or Dog house?...Here's your bone!

Wasn't Hooey out with a broken leg that season?
Played first 5-6 games with bone spurs on ankle, one broken off and floating inside, then fractured it after miami and played 2 games before they figured it out. So considering that he was playing banged up, it was pretty good performence...At least it showed alot of grit!
