Women and postseason
The way Joe Foley has his girls playing, I wouldn't bet against him winning the tourney and going to the NCAA.

If they don't win the tourney, I think a WNIT bid is very likely. We won't get the "automatic" bid if MTSU or WKU win the tourney (WKU is ahead of us and has the tie-breaker having beaten us twice). However, Realtime RPI has us #86 right now, and that does not include the win against MTSU yesterday. The WNIT takes 64 teams, although about half of those spots are reserved for automatic bids (the highest ranked team, that doesn't go to the NCAA, in every conference gets an automatic bid). Still that leaves 30+ at-large bids- we should get one of those if we continue to play well to close the season.

I'd be surprised to see us win it, or for us to win the West. We have been pretty fortunate winning the ASU and MT games. They've both been close, and both could have gone either way. We can't keep living on the edge like that and win the remainder of the games, and then the tournament. I've got a lot of confidence in Foley, he's a great coach, but as I've said before, he ain't Houdini.

At my age, any woman under about 50 is a girl.

RE: Women and postseason
I like our boys team. And as long as they don't put the girls players weight on the programs, I guess they'll still be girls. They'll become women when the weights are available along with their height.
