Kudos to Morgan Bolton
She is showing me why Coach Foley was so high on her as a recruit. She had earned a starting position a few weeks ago, and then was injured in the first minute or two of the game and had to miss some games. But I can see her ability to run the point and even score. It's possible she'll get more playing time next year, with Taylor Ford moving to the two, which is her natural position.

I thought once last night that Foley had be taking The Art of Substituting When a Player Gets Hot 101 from Shields last night. Bolton came, scored five points quickly and fired the team up, then Foley took her out.

As my son in law told me "don't question the master". He wins games. Personally I would have left her in, but it all worked out.

That's part of the fun of being a fan, being able to question or disagree with a coaches decisions, even if he's a "master and Hall of Famer." Does that mean that we can question Shields, since he's not a master?

Nobody is perfect. Well, I might be, but that's a different story. Seriously, you're right. It's normal for fans to question coaches decisions. I've always wondered why a coach would pull someone with a hot hand. IMO, you keep feeding them the ball and let them go. But obviously that's not the philosophy our coaches subscribe to. One problem that I see that has changed the game is the media time outs every four minutes. It's hard to keep a rhythm when play is stopped every minute or so, between foul calls and coaches time outs to go along with the media timeouts. The game would be better if they could cut down on the game stoppages. Plus I still hate the rule of being able to stop the clock after a made basket. I still subscribe to the theory that you must have possession of the ball to call timeout. The first thing I'm going to do when they put me on the rules committee is do away with that rule, and cut the media timeouts to one every ten minutes.
