What's been done, is done. Tech is in CUSA.

Are you just waiting for the day USM leaves? It sounds like that is what you're saying. That might happen.......and if it's decided that it's the best course of action for them, then so be it. I know that Tech fans have a high respect for USM and would hate to see them go, though.

It's been said over and over, but I've never seen one fan so consumed with another school.

I did not post even one word on this thread until my name was mentioned and the insults began.

Must remember Tech does not maintain official attendance records.

I'm not questioning Tech's attendance or being critical, but I just wonder how any program can't maintain official attendance records with all of the reporting that's required with college athletics. That just seems bizarre.

Check paragraph 1, page 5, of recently released Louisiana Legislative Auditors Report covering Techs fiscal year ending 6-30-2012. It, in addition to previous audits, clearly states the auditors could not verify attendance numbers since Tech DOES NOT maintain records of official attendance. I can guess why they arent kept but wont quote that since I deal only with facts. Make a guess yourself.

Happy to have La Tech on board. No offense to Tulane fans because Tulane is a fine institution (academically) but I'd take that trade any day.

Seems to me you folks should be more interested in correcting your problems rather than spending your time attacking those who disclose them to the public.

There's not a single sport other than women's basketball in which La Tech has more success than Tulane.
Even in football, despite Tulane's post-Katrina problems, Tulane has far higher heights. La Tech has never finished a single season ranked, e.g. Their record against Tulane: 0-10. But they fit the new C-USA model better and everyone's happy.

We do realize that Tulane hasn't officially left the conference yet, right? There is a chance the nBE takes further hits and falls so far that the Tulane administration says "forget it, we're not moving".

Chances are we're gone, but if we don't leave then it's less about replacement and more about "adding an in-state rivalry that didn't exist before".

IF Tulane stays - and Yulman is finished - then you'd have a very convenient USM-Tulane-LTech "trio" that could play each other annually.

Then again, that would make too much sense in terms of regional identity, etc.

I could see USM v Tulane or LT v Tulane actually selling out Yulman on local interest alone.

C'mon oldtiger.......you know La Tech is in Ruston! 04-cheers

Going to miss reading your posts when Memphis leaves......hopefully you will be back from time to time.

Thank you Wing-over. Sorry I hadn't responded before, I don't visit the smack board very often and missed this. Thanks.

I'll be around for awhile and back often after the switch. This is a much "easier" and relaxed board than the other one.

I'll be cheering for LaTech to beat USM for years. Should be a fun series.

Puh-lease. I'm no Tulane fan, but LA Tech can't fill their shoes.
