The refs let you all get away with a lot of stuff. It will be interesting to watch a game between UTEP and Southern Miss. Lots of hand checking, pushing and shoving.

The foul that sent it to OT stands out to me but you are right.. if if if. USM won and ECU lost with a horrible last play that could have sent it to double OT - regardless USM has a hard nosed team that plays with fire. Good luck the rest of the way.

Same to you guys. You still have a shot at the first-round bye.
USM didn't do anything defensively that they haven't been doing the entire year. I think once you do things on a consistent basis, you get the benefit of the doubt from the refs in certain situations.
ECU's announcers were in awe of USM's overall athleticism...they couldn't get enough of Dwayne Davis and Johnathon Mills....It's nice to hear other people appreciate what USM has sometimes.
How this team has come together and gelled so fast is really astounding. I think the only two players from the same state/region are the two freshman from the Virgin Islands, Carey and Edwin I believe.

Mills is a beast on the offensive boards and Boardingham can jump out of the building on the other side. They made up for a bunch of poor shooting.
Our offense has really been struggling lately, lack of defensive steals possibly, not sure. Just an observation.
Richmond's been doing this all year. No one knows about him because Lebo is an idiot and usually only plays him 15 minutes a game. About as dumb as having Kemp on the bench last year while we lost all those close games.

I noticed the same thing about their announcers....fair and knowledgeable....very thankful I didn't have to listen to, "Looking, looking, looking, shot on the way, and its Millsie with the rebound." ...never heard the word "BINGO" once today. Poor 'ole John Cox, he just can't help himself.

Just got back from the game. I gotta say I won't usually gripe when it's clear cut who won the game, but ECU lost for a few reasons.
1. The officiating in that game is some of the worse I've ever seen. The officials were clearly the 6th player on the USM side. I saw a lot of dirty basketball with a bunch of no calls or BS calls by the officials that helped, not let, but helped USM get back into the game.
2. Lebo really disappointed me tonite. First he has a timeout and the ball with around 20 seconds left to go and a chance to win the game and he doesn't take the timeout to set a play and the game goes to overtime. Then he does it again in overtime. Another timeout left, has the ball with a chance to tie or win and doesn't use it to set the play and ECU looks confused coming down the court.
3. We can't stop anybody from driving and throwing up a prayer and when it rims out or misses all together we can't seem to get a defensive rebound to save our lives.
It was like watching the UTEP game @ home all over again. I'm thoroughly disgusted at what happened tonite and if that's harsh so be it. We were winning the entire game and between the officials and Lebo, we end up losing.
Having said all that..............Congratulations to Southern Miss. At the end of the day you get another victory.

Dude, I won't normally complain per my other post, but I was at the game. There was some dirty basketball goin on with no calls from the refs. I ain't gotta problem with "lettin em play", but what I witnessed was beyond that. Congrats to USM though.
