Spiders can’t seal deal, fall to Hawks in painful A-10 road loss



PHILADELPHIA With uncomfortable familiarity, the University of Richmond fell 61-55 to Saint Joseph’s before 3,651 at Hagan Arena on Wednesday night.

The Spiders have repeatedly been in contention to capture their first A-10 road win, and repeatedly have failed to close. UR and SJU were tied at 51 with six minutes left, and the Spiders missed six of their last seven shots.

Richmond (14-11, 4-6 in A-10), 0-5 as a visitor in league games, faded in the second half with 24-percent shooting.
