Belmont @ Tennessee State
I am really surprised no one here makes threads on each game. Well I will make one for this ESPNU TV game and your toughest league game left and most likely this game will decide if you are the #1 or #2 seed unless Murray State stumbles along the way.

I think Belmont will need to win out in the regular season to have any chance at an at large bid. The RPI is a very nice 21 right now but I don't think the committee would accept a 7 loss Belmont team to an at large bid maybe a 6 loss team with an RPI in the 20s which means winning out in the regular season and losing in the finals to either Murray State or Eastern Kentucky would be only way I can see even having a chance.

Road games are always tough this will be the last tough road test most likley and the bracket buster game will be your last tough home test for the year.

Yes, we need the win. With games at Eastern Illinois and SIU Edwardsville, our RPI would likely drop even with wins. So we need the win against a higher ranked team like TSU.

I didn't realize Tenn State is a perfect 9-0 at home. Going to be real test tonight for Belmont. Nice start up 18-8.

Disapointing loss tonight after the fast start. I think the RPI will still stay around 25 even with this loss but doubt a 7 loss OVC team will get an at large.

Also this knocks you down to the #2 seed unless Murray losses a game. Not sure if that matters too much or not but I think if you don't win the conf regular season title outright no chance for at large bid.

Very depressing to go all year and then lose back to back games in the last 10 days or so.

Well the good news is Murray State lost tonight so Belmont retains the #1 seed for what that is worth.

Sounds like us last year. 25-4 after having just beaten a conference team on the road by over 30 (our RPI dropped 8 points because of the "win").

Then back-to-back losses to end the season before NCAA Selection at WKU and to Arkie State in the SBC Tourney (we hit 11-of-22 at the stripe in that game).

Hope Belmont win the tourney !

Disappointed to hear there were only about 3,000 at the game.

What gives ?

Tennessee State was averaging less than 1,000 per game prior to the BU game. So attendance was actually 3 times their normal crowd.

And Belmont probably brought most of the others.

Crowd support at TSU is way down for such a good team.

Kind of disappointed in our crowds this year, as well. I was expecting around 8k every game like back in the 80's.
