UT Arlington fires girls basketball coach
Had to be done.

THIS is a reason we brought in a new AD who learned at DeLoss's side. Can make the hard personnel decisions; the last long-time AD is a superb human being but struggled to be tough when tough was required.

It shows that uta has become more serious about sports. winning was in the past ok but not a primary focus and girls sports at uta have not been good lately. I hope volleyball is next.

Morrow knew she was on the hot seat; a cloud has been lifted from the program. Nice to see the interim coach and girls respond. Will be fun to see who Baker brings in as the permanent coach. Sooo glad we now have an AD that is capable of doing this part of his job. Runamuck is right, too, in that this clearly demonstrates a more serious commitment to intercollegiate athletics.

Good luck with Petrino. He has screwed over every team he has been head coach of...or nearly every one.

I think I'll stick with Chris Massaro as my AD.

Best in the business.
